How much does it cost to book a plus-one?
There's no single price, because there's no single Pro. Here is how the number is built on PlusOne Pro, so you can work out a booking before you make it.
The Pro's hourly rate
Each Pro sets their own rate and lists it on their profile. You book a number of hours; the rate times the hours is the service amount. A four-hour wedding reception with a Pro who charges $60 an hour is $240 for the Pro's time.
The platform fee
PlusOne Pro adds a 15% platform fee on top of the service amount. On that $240 booking the fee is $36, so the total is $276. The fee is what pays for the ID review, the payment handling, the messaging, and the people who step in when something goes wrong. Founding Pros keep their full rate — the platform fee is charged to the member, not taken from the Pro.
When your card is charged
Your card is authorized when you request the booking and charged only when the Pro accepts. If they decline, nothing is charged.
If the event is more than seven days away, you pay a 25% deposit when the Pro accepts and the balance later. If the event is within seven days, the full amount is taken when the Pro accepts.
When the Pro is paid
The Pro's payout is released 24 hours after the booking ends. That gap exists on purpose: if something went wrong, report it inside that window and the money hasn't moved yet.
Cancellations
One schedule applies to every booking. Cancelling before the Pro responds is free. After the Pro accepts, you get a full refund more than seven days before the event, 50% from three to seven days out, 25% from 24 hours to three days out, and nothing inside 24 hours; if you booked within the last 24 hours and the event is still more than a week away, it's a full refund. If the Pro cancels, you're refunded in full. The refund policy has the exact wording, and the app shows the amount before you confirm a cancellation.
