Founder Standards
PlusOne Pro — Founder Standards
Effective: August 5, 2026 Version: 1.1
These Founder Standards apply to every PlusOne Pro on the platform. They describe the professional conduct, preparation, and accountability we expect of every Pro. By accepting a booking on PlusOne Pro, you agree to these standards. These standards apply to every Pro on the platform; Section 12 (The Founder Promise) speaks specifically to the Founding cohort, and founding status is conditioned on remaining in good standing under these standards.
These are not legal terms — they are the cultural commitments of the PlusOne Pro community. The legal terms governing your relationship with PlusOne Pro are in the Terms of Service. Violations of these Founder Standards may, however, result in account suspension under the Acceptable Use Policy.
1. Show Up
When you accept a booking, you commit to being there.
- Arrive at least 10 minutes before the agreed start time
- Confirm the location and any logistics (parking, dress code, attendee names) the day before
- Bring identification consistent with your profile
If you cannot make a booking due to a genuine emergency, notify the member as early as possible and contact PlusOne Pro support. Late cancellations are tracked. Repeated no-shows result in account suspension.
2. Be Prepared
Members book PlusOne Pros for context-aware presence. If a member books you for a wedding, do light research on the dress code, customs, and any names they share. If a member books you for a professional consultation, review the topic and bring relevant materials.
Preparation is the single biggest differentiator between a good booking and a memorable one.
3. Communicate Clearly
- Reply to booking requests within 24 hours (4 hours for Priority bookings, 1 hour for short-notice)
- Confirm logistics in writing through the platform
- Notify members in advance of any wardrobe, transportation, or material details
- Respond to in-app messages from active members within reasonable hours (no 2 a.m. responses required)
If a member's request feels unclear, ask. If a member's request feels uncomfortable, decline.
4. Honor Your Boundaries
Your boundaries are locked in your profile. They are public. Members see them before booking. Once booked, members are expected to respect them.
If a member crosses a boundary during a booking — physical, emotional, or behavioral — you have the absolute right to end the booking. Use the in-app panic button or contact PlusOne Pro support immediately. If you end a booking early because of member misconduct, report it right away — you remain eligible for your booking fee, subject to PlusOne Pro's review under the Terms of Service.
You are not obligated to accept any booking that conflicts with your stated boundaries. Decline freely.
5. Be Authentic
Be the person on your profile. Members are paying for the actual you — your real interests, your real conversation style, your real bearing.
Do not fabricate credentials, life experiences, or skills. Do not use stock photography or photos of others on your profile. Do not exaggerate availability, response time, or experience.
6. Respect Member Privacy
What happens during a booking stays between you and the member. Do not:
- Share details of bookings on social media without explicit permission
- Discuss specific members with other members or Pros
- Photograph members without explicit consent
- Disclose any personal information you learn about a member in private conversation
Confidentiality is professionalism. Treat every booking with the discretion you'd expect from any service professional.
7. Operate Sober
Do not consume alcohol or substances that impair judgment during a booking. Modest social drinking at the member's specific event (a glass of wine at dinner, for example) is acceptable when the member explicitly initiates and the Pro is comfortable. Driving under the influence is prohibited regardless of context.
8. Engage with Reviews Constructively
Members can review you. You can review members. Both reviews are public after the longer of (a) both parties submitting or (b) the review window closing.
If you receive negative feedback:
- Read it honestly
- Reply once, professionally, if context is genuinely missing
- Do not retaliate, threaten, or harass
If a review is factually false or violates the AUP, contact PlusOne Pro support to flag it for review.
9. Honor Your Cancellation Policy
The cancellation policy you set during onboarding is the policy that applies to your bookings. You committed to it. Members rely on it.
Choose a policy you can actually honor — flexible, moderate, or firm — and stick with it.
10. Use the Platform for Bookings
Every booking happens through PlusOne Pro — the first one and every one after. Every payment does too. You're welcome to stay in touch with members socially, but when it turns into an engagement, it goes through the platform. Off-platform engagements have none of PlusOne Pro's safety features or payment protections, and arranging one is a violation of the Acceptable Use Policy.
11. Report Concerns
If you observe a member, another Pro, or any platform behavior that violates the AUP or these Founder Standards, report it.
- In-app: tap "Report" on any user profile or booking
- Email: safety@plusonepro.app
- Urgent safety issues: panic button during a booking, or 911 for genuine emergencies
PlusOne Pro takes reports seriously. We will not retaliate against you for reporting in good faith.
12. The Founder Promise
By being a Founding Pro, you are part of the first 100 Pros on PlusOne Pro. You shape the culture of this platform — what members expect, what other Pros aspire to, and what the public believes is possible from a platform like this.
Show up, prepared, on time, in your authentic self, with clear boundaries and clean integrity. That's the standard. We hold you to it. We expect you to hold us to it in return.
